FOX ISLAND BRIDGE UPDATE 🚧
There’s been a LOT of speculation floating around lately, so I wanted to share the biggest takeaways from a recent county presentation our local REALTOR® association attended so we can help keep you informed with accurate information.

Here’s the short version:

• The current bridge is considered SAFE today. It is inspected every 2 years and immediate issues are addressed as needed.

• A replacement bridge IS expected eventually because the current bridge no longer meets modern standards

• Earliest possible construction timing would likely be around 2031 and delays are very possible. It will take approx. 3 years to complete.

• Fox Island residents will NOT be solely responsible for funding the project. There will be multiple funding sources.

• Multiple bridge options are still being studied, including different bridge lengths and possible roundabouts.

• Current estimates show 5-10 parcels potentially impacted, but no properties have been identified yet. Everyone impacted will be notified, given guidance and resources.

A LOT still hasn’t been decided yet - including tolling, taxes, assessments, and final bridge placement.

There will be opportunities for community feedback along the way at public open houses.
