🏵️💀🏵️ Día de Mu***os is a special time of year where we remember those who are no longer with us. During this time I think a lot about my father and how I remember him. I think this photo with my brother and I might be the last photo I have with him. It’s special. The 3rd photo is of my abuelos, Louie & Mary Casanova. In San Antonio when you hear the name Casanova, you think of my grandparents ❤️ (at least I’d like to think so). Very thankful for for how thoughtful she was putting together our ofrenda this year! Excited to continue this tradition with her and our friends 🏵️💀🏵️

🔥 Another set of keys go from one hand to another 🔑 // My clients will start a new life out of state, while the Buyer will create new memories in their old home. This house was on the market for 8 days, and 30 days after mutual—we made it to the finish line 🏁 // A lot can happen in those 30 days! Inspections, financing, Title issues, etc. Luckily my clients put in the work before listing to minimize any sort of surprises (pre-inspections, repairs, staging, etc.)! By doing so, we received a full price offer, waiving inspections, and included extra 💰 in case of a low appraisal! ✨8 years ago today we closed on our home 🏡 At the time we owned our little shop for just about a year and couldn’t get a loan. Parents had to help, and it took a couple of years before the payments didn’t feel as brutal at the end of each month. At 28 & 25 years old, and I were still kids trying to figure out this whole ADULTING thing while running a small business. But interestingly enough, I believed it to be very important to do whatever we can as soon as we can, to own a home. I essentially had to pitch my parents how this was a good investment and pulled up surrounding comps in the neighborhood. This was at a time when short sales were common. Fast forward 8 years and we’re still here. Making this house our home. We laugh, cry, fight, dance, drink, and are literally still growing up in this house. Might be the most STABLE thing in our lives. Though I know we were so fortunate to have help in the beginning, and not everyone has that..but I can’t reiterate it enough how important it is, if buying a home is a goal of yours, do it as soon as you can! While things around us are always changing and life, work, income, lay offs, recessions, and all of the headlines that scare you with every swipe of your phone…the one thing you can lean on is having a constant roof over your head knowing you don’t have to worry about the landlord upping the rent next month. Personally, I feel this house is our retirement. It’s truly our first baby….well, 2nd, Rjo is our first 🐶.

Long story short, if buying a home is on your bucket list, then start your game plan NOW. What are you waiting for?!
