Whelp… today marks 13 years in real estate. 🏡 🔑

And I can truly say, I still love this career.

Not because it’s easy…because it sure isn’t. 😂 Real estate is constantly changing. It keeps you on your toes, requires you to stay educated, adapt, problem-solve and continue growing.

But after 13 years, I’ve realized that while so much about this industry changes, the reason I love it has stayed exactly the same: THE PEOPLE!

Getting to guide someone through a move, whether it’s their first home, their forever home, downsizing after decades, selling a family home filled with memories, or navigating an unexpected life change…is something I don’t take lightly. These are big, emotional moments in people’s lives, and being trusted to be part of them is truly a privilege.

When I started this career 13 years ago, I never could have imagined it would lead to more than 285 transactions. That number is meaningful to me not because of the number itself, but because of what it represents, 285+ opportunities to serve, guide, advocate, problem-solve and build relationships.

Some clients have come back two, three and even four times. Many have sent their friends and family my way. And somewhere along the way, so many clients became friends.

That is the part I’m most proud of.

Six years ago today, I made the decision to become alcohol-free.

At the time, I was scared. I wondered how it would affect my marriage, my friendships, my social life…and honestly, who I would be without it.

Six years later, I can tell you this: I haven’t looked back.

Has it changed my life? Absolutely. Some friendships shifted, and that’s okay. My marriage is stronger. My mind is clearer. My mornings are better. And one of the greatest gifts has been seeing how proud our girls are. That means more to me than I can put into words.

For me, alcohol simply wasn’t adding anything to my life anymore. It wasn’t serving the person I wanted to become, so I chose to let it go.

It wasn’t always easy, but it has always been worth it. 💫
