The two-story building on the right side of this photograph is Lewis State Bank, where I worked from 1968-1977. The taller building beyond it is the Exchange Building, which is still there today (at the intersection of College and Monroe). Across the street was Bennett's Drug Store, in the location where the Florida Realtors are located today. We would enjoy coffee and food at Bennett's in the afternoons for what we called our "board meetings." While the cars in this picture are older (1948), it looked much the same for us.
