was formed in February 1991 and has performed over 20,000 surveys of various kinds throughout the Florida big bend area, including Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Franklin, Jefferson and other counties. For the individual property owner, realtor, title examiner or lender, we offer boundary surveys for identification of property lines, relationship of improvements to boundaries, identification of flood zon

e, etc. These surveys are used primarily for property closings or refinances, and assist in identifying any obstacles to insuring clear title. For home construction, we work closely with the individual property owner and/or their builder, to help in placing the home in the best aesthetic position, clear of any easements or setbacks. Occasionally, an elevation determination or certificate may be necessary to insure the home is not subject to flood hazard. For engineering or architectural firms, we offer detail topographic surveys to facilitate site design. Being familiar with local city and county requirements, we address their specifics to represent accurately the existing conditions and features. At present we are not performing construction layout. However, we have much experience working with site contractors, offering full service, and on call layout as needed. Our prior expertise in this area included pre-construction clearing limits to post construction asbuilt surveys, construction staking for utilities such as water, sewer and storm water system, along with grade staking for site, parking and building layout. Platt & Associates we have worked diligently to keep our clients and employees safe and well through the COVID-19 pandemic from March 2020 – present.
