*Exciting News* Today marks a big step in my creative journey. What started as a desire to design spaces on a budget for myself, as well as friends and family has grown into Spruce Designs, a home staging and decorating company. When I am not adding new items to our home via antiques and vintage finds, I like to use what I have in fresh new ways. Over the years I have learned where to spend, where to save and when to reimagine. I believe the balance of well-edited layers is the key to good design.

It is my love for interiors and the art of reinvention, coupled with my experience in fashion design, decorating and visual merchandising that lead me to becoming an accredited home stager and re-designer. I am committed to freshening up and breathing new life into each client’s home. Through thoughtful modifications and interior styling techniques I look forward to helping homeowners spruce their home for living and/or preparing a home to sell.

What better time than Mother’s Day to share a couple of my personal treasures. I cherish the sweet christening gown my mother made for me. I love the details and admire each and every stitch, many of which were stitched by hand. It’s preserved in a shadow box frame, hanging in a place of honor and brings my joy everyday. The second is this little table I inherited from my grandmother. I don’t know it’s origin. There is no furniture maker logo. Honestly, it was probably a green stamp purchase. It is priceless to me and I love it! This table reminds me of my grandmother and her house which always felt like home. Today it holds pictures of those who made me a mother. Happy Mother’s Day to all.
