There’s just something about the Tallahassee Farmers Market. Fresh produce, local vendors, and friendly faces are some of my favorite ways to soak in this community.

The market is open every Saturday from 8am - 12:00pm. It’s the perfect way to support all of our amazing local vendors, especially our farmers. Knowing exactly where your food is coming from, who grew it, and being able to pour back into the people who are working hard to provide for our community every single week is so important.

I love getting fresh produce, boiled peanuts, oysters, and shallet breads when I go.

Supporting local farmers isn’t just about grabbing groceries. It’s about helping to keep small farms going, and bringing home food that’s fresh, real, and grown with care. It’s one of those simple choices that actually has a bigger impact than we realize. 🥬

When Debbie and Cindy first called me about listing their family home of 40+ years, I had no idea how connected our lives already were. Debbie worked at the courthouse for many years and spent much of her career alongside my dad while he was trying cases, and even served as his bailiff during his time as a judge. And Cindy is currently my dad’s heart nurse. It’s one of those small-world connections that instantly makes you feel like you’ve known people forever.

Their family home was absolutely beautiful and filled with decades of love, memories, and family milestones, which made this closing especially emotional. The road to getting here definitely wasn’t the easiest, but today their beloved home officially belongs to a new family who will now get to create memories of their own for years to come.

I’m so grateful Debbie and Cindy were brought into my life through this process. Getting to walk alongside families during such meaningful transitions and hearing the stories tied to a home always makes moments like this incredibly special. 😁

You will know your kids as adults far longer than you’ll know them as children. If you’re lucky, you’ll know your kids for about 50 years. Your kids will only be “kids” for about ten of those fifty years. That means 80% of the time you’ll ever have with your kids, they’re not “kids.”

You only get:
1 summer with them as a baby
3 as a toddler
5 as a child
3 as a pr***en
6 as a teen

Enjoy it while it lasts. Don’t waste those years.❤️

Some of my favorite moments in real estate are getting to celebrate big milestones like this, so a huge congratulations to two wonderful clients who just sold their homes! 🏡 These weren’t just transactions. They were major life transitions, and I’m so grateful to have been trusted along the way.

Lisa and Keith spent 32 wonderful years in their beautiful Ox Bottom Manor home, and a couple of weeks ago, we officially closed that chapter together.

They originally reached out to me about a year ago after following along on social media and seeing the results we were getting for other clients. We stayed in touch as they planned their move out west, and when the timing was right, we put a strategy in place to position their home for maximum success.

We listed just under the top of my market analysis, and it paid off in a big way.
We had 25 showings, 8 offers, and a final sales price of $40,000 OVER list price… even higher than the top end we had discussed!

But honestly, the best part was getting to know Lisa and Keith. They’re incredible people with such interesting backgrounds, and I’m just really grateful I got to be a part of this chapter with them.

And then there’s Barry.

Barry is a Marine and a seasoned marine biologist who served alongside Megan Leavey. He is someone with a story and presence that immediately leaves an impression.

But beyond all of that, it’s been such a privilege helping him sell his Crawfordville home as he steps into an entirely new season of life.

Barry is now headed to Thailand to be with his fiancée, where he’ll be teaching biology and beginning an exciting new adventure abroad. From serving his country to dedicating his career to science, and now building a life across the world, his journey is one of purpose, growth, and courage in every chapter.

So grateful to have been a small part of both of these transitions. Wishing Lisa and Keith, and Barry nothing but happiness and the very best in what comes next.
