We are pleased to announce Matthew McCauley as President of SR Hotel Management.
Matthew is a hospitality executive and asset manager with extensive experience leading multi-unit hotel portfolios and representing ownership interests across both branded and independent properties. Throughout his career, he has focused on driving financial performance, protecting capital investments, and ensuring operational discipline across diverse hospitality platforms.
As President of SRHM, Matthew oversees the strategic and operational direction of the company’s entire Hotel and Resort portfolio. He is responsible for aligning daily operations with long-term ownership objectives, strengthening performance, and positioning each property for sustained growth.
Prior to joining SRHM, Matthew served with Gulph Creek Hotels, where he provided executive oversight of 15 hotel properties. In that role, he partnered closely with owners, brands, and operators to enhance results, guide capital investments, and maintain alignment between property-level ex*****on and broader ownership strategy.
Earlier in his career, Matthew worked as Asset Manager for the University of Pennsylvania, overseeing a hospitality portfolio generating more than $45 million in annual revenue. He led capital planning initiatives and executed more than $20 million in property improvements, managed operator transitions, and contributed to large-scale development projects.
Matthew began his career in hotel operations, spending more than a decade in general management roles leading full-service hotels and multi-property portfolios, including union environments and complex ownership structures. That operating foundation continues to shape his practical, hands-on approach to property oversight and performance management.
“I’m incredibly excited to lead SRHM and build on the strong foundation already in place,” Matthew said. “We have an outstanding team and a portfolio with tremendous potential. I look forward to working alongside our associates, ownership partners, and brand partners to elevate performance and create exceptional experiences across every property.”
Matthew holds an MBA from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
