The time has come to let my emotional connection go and sell my first ever investment purchase.

Fresh out of high school, trying to find my way in this world, I decided to purchase an investment property. Little college education (no degree) and new to the RE game -- just a girl with a vision. This property made it all happen for me. This duplex made my vision clear and I've been chasing the dream ever since.

There's actually a great story behind this one, but that's not what this post is. Just know, I had THE BEST team behind me, as it took some really long nights and extra creativity to make it work. I met some of the best people during this transaction and one of the best Real Estate agents in the world, Liz K***z, you've been a huge part of my RE journey and I want to thank you for all of the positive influence, confidence, and encouragement you've given me over the last 10 years! 10 freakin' years -- that's crazy!

Purchasing this property has opened more doors for me than any other adult decision I've had to make. I only hope the next owners love and appreciate it as much as I have.

Dear Future Homeowners... I started with the duplex in 2014 where one side was rented out and paid my mortgage, then I used the money I saved there to purchase my townhome in 2017. My mortgage for my townhome was $460... yes, you read that right...four hundred and sixty dollars (when rent would have been $1200). This allowed me to...again...save money for my next purchase, of which, I was actually able to purchase with NO MONEY out of my pockets due to something called a HELOC. Where do they teach us about this?

The point is...you don't have to impress anyone. There's more to a home than just the four walls around you. Homeownership is about the discipline it takes to achieve a goal. A goal that will benefit your future financial needs. You CAN achieve homeownership, but don't be worried about trying to purchase the biggest, newest, or "best". Just stop renting.

Earlier this week, I pulled up to a sign in my yard. It's crazy how something so small can mean so much.

This was simply a reminder of how thankful I am to be a part of the best brokerage out there... KW ❤

But it also made me stop for a moment to acknowledge how far I've come in this business and how thankful I am for every single person that has trusted me to assist with their real estate needs.

Closings look a little different these days 😷 but I'm here to tell you that real estate is essential and we're still making moves!

These past few months have been busy! I've had the pleasure of helping one family down-size, another family up-size, one of my friends trusted me to assist in the purchase of his first home, two out-of-town buyers purchased their first time home, and a new investor has purchased 4 properties and looking for more!

A new investor added 4 investment properties to her portfolio last month and I couldn't be more honored for her trusting me to assist throughout the process.

I initially spoke with this young mother of 3 just over a year ago about her interest in creating passive income through real estate investing. We came up with a game plan and continued to stay in touch until her and her husband were ready to make a move.

Her goal at the beginning of the summer was to purchase 4 investment properties by the end of the year. We made it happen in just over a month!

Even with the challenges we faced in the middle of a pandemic, we pulled through. I love helping people achieve their goals one property at a time.
