Ponderosa State Park🏔️
Located on a 1,000 acre peninsula extending into Payette Lake, Ponderosa State Park offers 19.3 kilometers of groomed Nordic trails for beginners through advanced skiers. Snowshoers can enjoy 3.4 miles of designated routes with lake views. The park also features one of only two USSA certified cross country tracks in Idaho and has hosted major events including the Masters World Cup.
Jug Mountain Ranch🏔️
In winter, Jug Mountain Ranch becomes a playground for cross country skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing. Trails range from gentle routes along Boulder Creek to more challenging climbs toward Upper Jug Reservoir. Equipment rentals, including fat bikes and snowshoes, are available on site.
The Activity Barn🏔️
Enjoy a free 5 kilometer groomed trail at The Activity Barn. For extra fun, take the conveyor lift to the top of the hill for your starting point. Trails are open to skiers, snowshoers, fat bike riders, and dogs are welcome too.
