Ahead of tomorrow’s opening of Contagion: Art, Science, and Storytelling in Infectious Diseases, presented by the Coalition of Hispanic Artists, artist Ana Vélez shared powerful insights into her work during Third Thursday at Kress Contemporary—a very well-attended evening that showed the impact of bringing art and conversation together.

Contagion goes beyond the visual—featuring audio from the Contagion Podcast, adding depth and storytelling that invites you to see, hear, and feel the human side of infectious disease.

As we wrap up this year’s OEP, I’m feeling so grateful for the opportunity to help seniors in our community with their health insurance needs.

Connecting with medical providers to offer more options and better support to my community makes this work even more meaningful.

I had a wonderful time with my team at Health Plus One—so thankful to be surrounded by such a dedicated group!

💜 In Memory of My Sister, Boris Salazar 💜

Tomorrow, November 2, my dear niece Isa will be running the NYC Marathon in honor of her mom — my beautiful sister Boris, who we lost to cancer last year.

Boris always dreamed of running this race, and now her daughter is carrying that dream forward with love, strength, and determination. Every mile is for her — and for a future without cancer.

So proud of you, mi amada Your mom will be with you every step of the way. 💜
