The most misunderstood city in Florida? It’s Tampa and I have receipts. 👇

Here are 5 things about Tampa that prove there’s way more here than meets the eye:

1) We’re basically spoiled with waterfront everything — Bayshore Boulevard, the Riverwalk, and easy drives to Clearwater & St. Pete when you want a beach day.

2) The neighborhood variety is unreal: historic bungalows in Seminole Heights, walkable energy in Hyde Park, modern high-rises downtown, and space to spread out in Westchase/New Tampa.

3) Tampa shows up for its community — from Gasparilla to Lightning season to local markets and festivals, people here actually *do* things together.

4) The food scene goes way beyond the obvious: Cuban + Spanish staples in Ybor, elevated spots in South Tampa, and new openings popping up constantly.

5) There’s something happening year-round — concerts, sports, waterfront events, and weekend plans that don’t require a flight.

What did I miss? Drop your favorite Tampa fact in the comments.

If you tell me there’s nothing to do in Tampa, I’m taking it personally. 🤨

The truth is, if you’re bored, you’re just looking in the wrong places.

There are farmers markets where every stall hits, the park that everybody’s gatekeeping, and the one restaurant patio that fills up fast.

Here are a few worth knowing: 👇

Tampa Riverwalk: Sunset strolls + pop-up events, and it connects you to a bunch of the city’s best stops.

Hyde Park Village (Fresh Market): Easy Saturday plans, local vendors, coffee in hand, people-watching included.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park: The “meet you at the lawn” spot for festivals, concerts, and downtown hangs.

Armature Works: The go-to for food hall variety + the patio scene when the weather is showing off.

This is just a taste of some hidden gems in town. The full guide has the recs you won’t find on Google.

Collaboration is not just a buzzword when you are in the right room.

Spent the morning at a builder brunch and ended up surrounded by some of the most knowledgeable, generous agents I have met. people just hit different.

No gatekeeping. Just real people being real and genuinely rooting for each other.

Grateful for this community.

Anyone can show you a house. Not everyone will tell you when to walk away from one.

When you are new to buying or selling it is easy to assume every agent is doing the same job. They show you homes, write offers, hand over keys.

But how an agent does that job is what separates a smooth move from a stressful one you are still telling stories about years later.

The best ones treat your move like it is their own. They take time to understand how you actually live. They slow you down when you need to be slowed down.

And they are still around long after the boxes are unpacked.
That is the agent worth holding out for.

The real estate advice costing Tampa Bay buyers and sellers thousands. And nobody is talking about it.

I hear the same myths every single week. From clients, from DMs, from people who read something online and never questioned it.

Some are harmless. Others have cost buyers and sellers tens of thousands of dollars or set their plans back by months.

Swipe through and see if any of these surprised you.

Comment “MYTH” and I will personally answer the one that hit closest to home.

The closest thing to home when you are craving Filipino food in Tampa Bay and it is right here in Brandon.

Maganda Cuisine is a family run Filipino food truck on Pauls Drive and if you have not been, you are missing out.

I ordered the pork sisig and it is one of the best I have had since leaving the Philippines.

Their homemade pork siomai is everything. Perfectly seasoned, great dipping sauce, the real deal.

Today is the last day of AAPI Heritage Month and I could not think of a better way to close it out than by spotlighting a Filipino owned small business right here in our community.

Go show them some love. Tag a kababayan who needs to know about this place. 🇵🇭
