For the month of September we saw a decrease in new listings simultaneous with a decrease in listings sold compared to the month prior. Matched with a continual increase of the amount of inventory currently sitting on the market. This gives buyers a bit more breathing room as far as purchase price. Unfortunately, the interest rates have also continued to increase which bump up monthly payments on a mortgage. “Marry the price, date the rate” is a great way to look at the current market. “Marrying” the current and lowered prices compared to earlier in the year while “dating” the high interest rate. If rates go down, you refinance, if they stay the same no harm no foul, if they go up… you have a better rate than future buyers! WIN,DRAW,WIN.

Hello Floridians, hope everyone made it through the hurricane okay! Speaking of, this closing was suppose to happen that week but ended up getting pushed back because of it. This was the first time a natural disaster effected my work but either way we were able to get the deal done the following week.
