Friends, please do not get swept up in the promises of these companies…Hiring a licensed real estate agent is still the best option for you to buy and sell your home. It will sell for more money and you will have a person dedicated to protecting your interests.

The FTC says that Opendoor told customers they would make more money by selling to it instead of to regular buyers. Actually, sellers made less money.

Things are getting a bit better for buyers (rising inventory, easing competition), but we've still got a big, multi-year problem on our hands: we're not building homes anywhere near fast enough.
