Each volunteer will be expected to successfully participate in a 4-week training program at the beginning of their work with MDPS. The training program will provide basic information on issues that distressed homeowners face, such as, foreclosure, tax delinquencies, code enforcement violations, etc.; Solutions to these issues will also be provided in the training program and will learn which solutions will benefit the distressed homeowner accordingly; this will vary on a case-by-case basis. Volunteers who demonstrate proficiency during the initial training program will be invited to participate in an advanced training program to learn how to effectively fill out agreements, disclosures, and other closing documents.
Each volunteer will be expected to provide 10-15 hours each week to continue with MDPS for a period of not less than 6 months.
You will be able to earn compensation while in advanced training.
