FREE CABLE - Antenna Test for WEST CHASE AREA

Here are our results from testing HD Antennas in the Westwood Lakes/Eagles area. First it appears that the local prime stations (we refer to Prime as ABC, CBS, Fox, & NBC) are just under 30 miles from our spot. You can find them yourself, simply go to: https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html . You can do a basic search by zip code or an advanced search to include address. For the purpose of this “unofficial” study, we used the following antennas: 1. Turned Off Cable coming out of the wall; 2. Antenna Bar; 3. Metal Antenna; 4. Rabbit ears Antenna; 5. 4” x 8” Flat Antenna; and 6. 8” x 12” Flat Antenna. We moved these Antennas to determine the best locations, and we also tried these with and without a signal booster. We determined that the flat HD Antennas both worked equally as well, and better without the signal booster. For optimum reception, we taped them flat against the inside of the nearest window that was facing southeast and not blocked by pool cage or large oak tree (very important). For those of you that want to completely Cut-the-Cord, we purchased an enhanced Amazon Fire Box from a local Techie, www.FreeCableTvNOW.com, it was under $120.00 and we got it very fast. Support is excellent and very responsive. IM with any question about this test or Box.
