I spent the last few days at the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Summit, surrounded by top-performing agents from across the country!

Consistently learning, growing, sharing ideas and supporting our fellow colleagues is so important in this business. Four of us attended, proudly representing our 19 local Tampa Bay offices, and we’re bringing home so much valuable information, fresh inspiration and new ideas!

It was also my first time staying at The Breakers—and what an incredible, over-the-top experience! From the beautiful accommodations to the most delicious food, everything was truly exceptional. 10/10! ✨

For my son’s birthday, we headed to Messy Farms in Myakka City, less than an hour and a half south of Tampa, for a day of shark-tooth hunting—and it was such a fun experience getting muddy, digging for fossils and uncovering our own little pieces of prehistoric Florida together!

Nearby Venice is known as the “Shark Tooth Capital of the World,” and there’s an incredible reason why: millions of years ago, much of Florida was underwater and filled with sharks. As the water eventually receded, their skeletons disappeared, but their teeth fossilized and remained buried beneath the land and Gulf. Today, waves, storms and erosion continue to reveal these ancient treasures along Venice-area beaches and throughout this fossil-rich part of Florida.

The highlight of the day was finding a Meg—a fossilized tooth from a prehistoric Megalodon! Megalodons were enormous sharks that lived approximately 23 million to 3.6 million years ago and may have grown up to 60 feet long. Knowing that we were holding a tooth that had been buried for millions of years made the find feel like hitting the birthday jackpot! 🖤🦈
