The FINCEN real estate reporting postponement is seen by some as a strategic move to balance compliance obligations (burdens for smaller title companies) with the need to safeguard the US financial system.

The FinCEN AML Rule and Residential Real Estate Reporting has been postponed until March 1, 2026.
