Today I turn 45. π
As I reflect on another year around the sun, I find myself thinking less about what I've accomplished and more about how I've spent my time.
There was a season when I believed life was measured by what we built, what we earned, or how much we could fit into a day.
But with each passing year, I understand a little more clearly that our time here is not unlimited.
Each day is not one more day.
It is one less.
And somehow, that realization doesn't make life feel smaller. It makes it infinitely more precious.
I've learned to value peace over possessions.
Experiences over things.
Connection over recognition.
The memories that stay with us are rarely found in our achievements. They are found in conversations, laughter, shared meals, unexpected adventures, quiet moments, and the people who walked beside us along the way.
Some souls enter our lives briefly.
Others remain for years.
Each arrives bearing a lesson, a blessing, or a mirror reflecting something we needed to understand about ourselves.
For all of them, I am grateful.
As I step into this next chapter, I do so with an open heart.
Not seeking more, but appreciating more.
More presence.
More gratitude.
More meaningful experiences.
More moments that nourish the soul.
My hope is simple:
To continue living authentically, loving deeply, growing wisely, and leaving every person I meet a little better than I found them.
Here's to 45. π
