Taunton is making incredible strides in expanding community spaces and events!

Taunton's RiverLights is coming in 2027!

Many of you have experienced Providence's WaterFire events over the years—or have at least heard about them. Now, get ready for something truly special right here in Taunton.

Thanks to the incredible vision and dedication of Taunton resident Sandy Thomas, RiverLights will debut along the Taunton River in the Weir in September 2027.

Mrs. Thomas has spent years bringing this idea to life, and with the trademark now secured, plans are moving forward for this one-of-a-kind event.

If you attended the Taunton River Festival this past weekend, you may have stopped by the RiverLights table, where many residents got their first glimpse of what's to come.

More details, including a new website and event updates, will be shared in the months ahead. For now, mark your calendars:

Time: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
