New Listing!

Investment opportunity in the Inman Mill Village community. The home needs a full remodel and is priced accordingly. Comparably sized homes in the same community are selling between 175k and 200k, so this is perfect for a fix and flip.

Could also be good for an owner occupant with cash to spend on the remodel. The home is located in a USDA-eligible area, and I believe the home’s current condition will qualify for financing, despite the needed updates. So, with some sweat equity, an owner occupant could have a beautiful home for well under 200k, which is almost unheard of in upstate SC at the moment.

Only $105,000!

I’m not sure how I missed this news, but this song became the new official state song of South Carolina last week.

It’s a lovely song. Enjoy.

It’s been a rough week for the local realtor community.

This morning, I got a “condolences” email from the realtors association letting us know about someone who passed away. We get those emails fairly regularly as there are so many past and current realtors in Greenville County. Typically, it’s an older person, and I often know their name, at the very least, because I’ve been selling homes so long. This morning’s email was about a young lady. Current realtor. 36 years old. Mother of 5. Graduate of Wade Hampton. I recognized her name, but I did not know her and I’m not sure we ever even spoke on the phone. I read as much as I could about her situation and found that she died from cancer. She battled cancer in 2024 and 2025 and thought she had it beat, but it came back aggressively a few months ago.

Earlier this week, there was a news story about two people injured at Cedar Falls Park in southern Greenville County. That’s a beautiful park; I’ve been there with my family, and I’m guessing many of you have been there too. Since the park is centered around a river and a waterfall, I assumed some kind of accident had happened in the water. As it turns out, a tree fell near a group of people hiking and two people were nearly crushed. One of them is the daughter of a local realtor. Both people are miraculously alive, but with severe injuries that will require multiple surgeries and they may never be the same again physically.

This post isn’t about me. I don’t know either of these realtors personally. If you’re someone who believes in prayer, as I do, prayers for these two families would certainly be appropriate.

There are also fundraisers for both of them that can easily be found online.

I know I said this post isn’t about me, but it is, in a way. One of my many weaknesses in life is that I am so focused on my day to day responsibilities that I often forget to be thankful for the many blessings in my life. It shouldn’t take tragedies in other people‘s lives for me to remember to be thankful for my family’s health.
