The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony took place on April 20, 2016 at The Brookdale, our new 61 unit subsidized senior apartment building at 60 Bergen Avenue in Teaneck. The Brookdale offers one bedroom units for independent low income seniors. Subsidized through the HUD 202 program, the building offers far more than just a place to live. Tenants have access to an array of support services that will enhance daily life and support aging in place. An optional dining program will is available for tenants who wish to dine with others on occasion or on a regular basis. Physicians will be available for health screenings and monitoring on site. For tenants who prefer to see doctors in the community, assistance with arranging transportation will be offered. Tenants will be assisted in accessing recreational activities within the community as well as offered programming on site.
