Anytime you're building a new home, it's important to get a pre-drywall inspection in addition to a final inspection. The third party pre-drywall inspection which may seem unpopular discloses various defects to improve the quality of the build. The defects can be minor or major such as framing challenges (e.g., cracked trusses, mold on wood, missing gussets plates), electrical or plumbing issues. Once the walls go up, some things are out of sight, out of mind. The build-quality of your home matters.
