As this season comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on what a special five-year journey it has been.
The greatest blessing has been coaching my oldest daughter and watching her passion for flag football grow from the very beginning. Seeing her earn the opportunity to continue her flag football career this fall with the top girls flag football program in the country at J Serra is incredibly exciting.
I’m also grateful for the opportunity to have coached alongside my dad. Sharing these years together on the sidelines created memories that I will cherish forever.
This final season was a fitting way to close the chapter. Our team battled all year, reached the championship game, and out forth an amazingly valiant effort against the league's only undefeated team in the highest division.
While I’m sad to see this era come to an end, I’m thankful for every moment and am excited for the coaching adventures that still lie ahead with my other two kids.
