Way back in the 1970's I was selected among a group of Middle School students to celebrate America's Bicentennial in our Nation's Capitol. Quite an experience, first time flying on an airplane, seeing the White House, touring the Smithsonian museums, Lincoln Memorial, seeing the President land in his helicopter on the Mall, Arlington National Cemetery, colonial Williamsburg, we fit a lot in that week. Oh and sneaking out of our room to hang out in the hotel lobby, we were rebels lol!
So much has stayed with me over the years, what an amazing, rich history we share!
