Today was amazing on so many levels. I woke up today in the low 60° weather near Payson, AZ (about 75 miles NE of Phoenix and in the mountains) while it was 109° today in Mesa (where I live).

The "icing on the cake" was that in all the times I've been up here and staying in "remote" areas, today at dinner, we took a walk in the center of town in a municipal park and got to see 4 Elk just hanging out in the middle of town and taking a bath in the middle of town! It was the first time I have ever seen an elk outside of the zoo. I just can't believe how big and majestic they are (and these were all females). Such an amazing experience!

I can't say enough good things about the pet supply company, Chewy. When my pitbull, Loki passed a year ago, they sent me a condolence letter and the most amazing bouquet of flowers. I was stunned and overwhelmed by the generosity of a huge company. I think they knew they had a customer for life (if I decided to get another pet).

About nine months later, I got Thanos (my Boston Terrier). After figuring out what kind of food was best for him, I immediately went back to Chewy. A few weeks later, they sent me a portrait of him to me in the mail! What incredible customer service! Regardless of what industry you're in, there is something to be learned from this!

Chewy asked me to send them a photo of Thanos looking at his portrait. Here it is.
