Can you believe we’re already gearing up for the 2025 market? If you’re planning to sell your home next year, now’s the perfect time to get prepared!
Here’s how to set yourself up for success:

Start Decluttering and Organizing – Tackle closets, cabinets, and any items you won’t take to your next home. Clearing out now will make prepping for showings much easier.

Plan Ahead – Think about your next steps. Where will you go once you sell? What if your home sells before you find a new one? Preparing for a competitive market can reduce stress.

Book Your Professional Photos Early – Schedule your shoot before putting up any seasonal decor so you can market your home without holiday touches out of season.

Consider a Pre-Inspection – For older homes, a pre-inspection can identify potential buyer concerns, allowing you to address any necessary repairs before listing.

Whether you have a walk-in pantry or a kitchen cabinet devoted to food storage, keeping it organized will go a long way.

Here are a few tried-and-true pantry tips:

1) Remove everything from your pantry. Clear items out, check expiration dates and discard anything expired.

2) Measure your shelves and line them with a heavy-duty shelf liner so that if something breaks or spills, clean-up will be a breeze!

3) Bins, baskets, and organizers. The fewer items you have piled up on shelves, the neater and more organized they will look.

4) Group items and baking supplies together in small bins and LABEL EVERYTHING. For example, group containers of baking supplies into a single bin or basket, and label it "baking."

5) Utilize door space. The inside of your cabinet doors is valuable real estate. Hang organizers over the door to free up shelf space and store canned goods, spices, oils, or even dry goods like aluminum foil, baggies, or parchment paper.

Don’t skip this part!

It can be easy for buyers to fall into the trap of trying to time the market.

So what are you supposed to do as a buyer if you can’t time the market? How do you know when the right time to buy is?

You focus on yourself and what kind of timing works for your unique situation rather than the market.

Here are a few things to consider while you’re trying to decide if now is the right time for you to buy a home:

- Whether or not you’re ready to live in one place for the next 3-5+ years

- What your finances look like–think about your savings, credit score, and debt levels

- Your responsibility level and if you’re ready to manage a property

If you consider these factors and see that you’re ready to buy a home, reach out, and let’s get started!
