Self care is so important.

People rely on me daily and I need to be focused, calm, cool, and collective. Helping others comes easily for me because…I CARE.🫶🏻

Don’t know what each day will bring, but like the pic…I will always continue to SMILE even in the the RAW.❤️

He had to be there🙏🏻…

Woke up at 4am this morn to pick him up in PA. He was at a retreat this weekend and I was hoping he could be excused from Sunday service. She told me he had to be present today. I also needed to be back in NJ at 9am for praise practice.

It was early, but the drive to PA was calming. I wasn’t distracted by technology and didn’t bother to put on Spotify. I had a moment to think about dad and all the sacrifices he endured to be a parent. He was hard-working and barely had time for himself…and how family was always his priority. Now I, his daughter, was doing the same…and “how the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, they say. I was truly in MOM mode.

Driving back was a treat as we chatted about his weekend…again, with no distractions. Then the moment had arrived…where he stood at the podium and solidified his purpose as a servant of God. How far he has come and I am grateful. AMEN😇

JUST LEASED…

As I will soon bid farewell to my spiritual leaders, whom had guided me for the past 20 years, I had been given the pleasure of assisting my future pastor and his family.

As I continue to reflect, I feel it was God’s intervention for giving me the opportunity to assist them. Internally, I wasn’t ready to say good-bye and definitely not ready to say hello.

While assisting, I was reminded that farewells aren’t forever and journeys are meant to continue. The timing of the church and even in my own personal life are about to change…I have to continue to believe it’s all apart of God’s plan and God’s timing. AMEN😇

So looked forward to an oil change…

After a workout, I was so looking forward to an oil change of all things.
My mind this morning, was taking me to the “would’ve, could’ve, and should’ve” moments which would have easily spiraled me to negativity. Just needed some down time.

Treated myself to a breakfast sandwich, home fries, and coffee. Spread out my stuff to just eat and to chill.

The waiting room, at the service center, is so spacious and comfy. I was so relishing in my peace and calm until…she started asking around about how to work the coffee machine. There are many here, so I paid no mind until I realized she was hovering over me out of all the people present.

I gladly helped especially since the coffee machine was the same one at my office, but the conversation kept going. As I was trying to uplift my soul, she was sharing her recent job loss, how hard it is looking for a job, and how Mounjaro will now cost her $500 instead of the $11 she was paying. I listened and listened. It was pretty draining.😞

She sounds better as she is conversing on the phone. Made someone feel good this morn, that’s all that matters.🤗

OFFER ACCEPTED🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻…

They had their eyes set on a complex in NJ after selling their home. An offer had been accepted. But…by chance she had been scrolling so hoping to stay in NY.

One quick peek is what they wanted prior to signing off on the Jersey rider, so I obliged. The Jersey unit was nicer, but the desire to remain in Rockland was greater and they got what they wanted.🙌🏻

Backyard BBQ at KW Town Life…

In the midst of our busy schedules, it was nice to slow down, to share a meal, to play games, and of course, to chit chat.🤗

Being an independent contractor can be quite lonely at times, so we make moments like these happen to show we care. We greet each other like family with hugs after hugs which leads to SMILES. I would say…moments like these are truly KISMET.😉
