I am a Florida native and spent my early years on the east coast of Florida in Mims close to the Kennedy Space Center where my father worked. I saw all the early Mercury launches from the lawn of my elementary school in Mims, the Gemini launches from my middle school grounds in Titusville, and the Apollo launches from the space center causeway closer to the rockets launch pad, exciting times. I st

udied at the University of Florida and Brevard Community College now named Eastern Florida State College. I spent a big portion of my time in this industry working for the Walt Disney Company at Disney World in Orlando. I worked in food and beverage management in the theme parks, in resort locations and in Lake Buena Vista now known as Disney Springs. After leaving the Disney Company I worked for several independent restaurants with my last position in that industry as General Manager of Coconuts on the Beach in Cocoa Beach Florida. After twenty plus years in the Hospitality Industry I took the skills I learned there and moved into sales and sales management in a small but extremely important industry. In this industry I was able to help persons with low vision and the blind with access to print and computing by providing technology solutions utilizing both hardware and software products. During this time, I worked for two industry leaders Low Vision Aids, Inc. and Freedom Scientific now a part of Vispero. A very rewarding career helping people achieve their dreams of living a more independent life. Almost 25 years helping people, a great experience. In 2010 I moved to Tequesta on the east coast of Florida in the northern most part of Palm Beach County and I took the many years of experience in the “people person” of the hospitality industry and the negotiation and sales skills I learned in the low vision industry and brought that experience to my current endeavor working with The Keyes Company in the Jupiter/Tequesta office. Working in Real Estate is rewarding too as I get to help people achieve their dreams of home ownership for the first-time buyer or finding that new perfect home to spend a lifetime making wonderful memories.
