Two months ago, I was showing a house when a snake surprised me on the cellar stairs. Apparently my fight-or-flight response is… grab the buyer. 😂 I manhandled that poor guy, and luckily he was a good sport about it.
Fast forward to tonight.
After the week I’ve had, I’m standing there contemplating my life choices while deciding whether I really wanted to climb into a gross, wet, dirt-floor crawlspace. I secretly wished there was a monster down there that would just swallow me whole and put me out of my misery.
Same buyer, by the way.
Suddenly, a HUGE dog comes charging up behind a chicken-wire fence and… I manhandled the poor guy AGAIN. 🤦♀️
I’m not entirely sure what words came out of my mouth, but I’m hoping they weren’t the same ones going through my head.
Obviously, I had to prove I was brave.
So into the wet, washed-out, dirt-floor crawlspace I went… wearing my pretty suede shoes, slacks and blouse, because apparently this is what professionalism looks like in real estate.
And then—WHAM! I stood up and hit my head so hard I saw stars. This time, I knew EXACTLY what words came out of my mouth. And, they were NOT pretty. 😬
My poor buyer immediately felt terrible for me. And as I’m standing there, head throbbing, my first coherent thought was:
Weird. He didn’t even laugh at me. Because my friends absolutely would have. 😂
So anyway… if you’re looking for a Realtor who will crawl through mud and protect herself from wildlife by using you as a human shield during showings…
I’m your girl. 🏡
