Remote ID is basically a drone’s “digital license plate.” It broadcasts the drone’s ID, location/altitude, and often the pilot (controller) location using Wi-Fi/Bluetooth. Most airplanes and helicopters can’t automatically see it unless they have special equipment. It’s mainly for FAA/law enforcement, not collision avoidance.
