What has changed in the DFW Metro Plex housing market in November 2022?
Houses are no longer selling themselves as in the past 3 years. The housing boom seems to be over. There are currently 3-4 times as many homes for sale as there were in November 2021 in the DFW area. According to the experts the upcoming Housing crisis is going to be worse than the 2008 crisis and home values are going to plummet.
WHY: The problem is many borrowers have had at least a year’s forbearance and some have not paid their mortgage in 12 to 24 months.
RESOLVE: There is none. Some are saying extend the forbearance and foreclosure Moratorium. Some are saying these actions will only make the problem worse.
ACTION:
The good news for most of us is that our homes have gained equity in the last few years and if we wait until the lender forecloses you are likely to lose, all your equity.
ADVISE: Right now, we, I would recon have at least 6 months to a year if you are a year or longer behind in your mortgage to sell your home and retrieve some equity before you have a foreclosure and eviction on your record.
