Value and Market aren't the same thing.
This is important for home Sellers to understand. Your house may have a specific value that you based on all that you have invested in it, upgrades and amenities, etc., but to sell it you have to price it for the market you are in.

Unfortunately, a lot of sellers today are setting their asking price too high. That’s leading to an uptick in price cuts.

A new state-by-state analysis from Realtor.com breaks down how much income a family of four needs to afford a typical three-bedroom home.
The findings? In nearly half of U.S. states, the average four-person household doesn’t earn enough to cover the monthly mortgage on a median-priced home.
