MESSAGE FROM MCA PRESIDENT
Dear Residents,
Progress is underway, and I am excited about what is beginning to take shape.
As you drive down Longmeadow, you will notice that the two The Meadows Country Club (TMCC) monument signs have been removed. That small but meaningful change signals more than the absence of signage, it represents the close of a difficult chapter and opens the door to what lies ahead…
a new beginning for golf at The Meadows.
Today, Century Golf met at the golf parking lot to review enhancements that will meaningfully reshape the arrival experience for both visitors and Meadows’ residents. The planned improvements are substantial and will begin right away – I was extremely pleased with their sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
From the moment you enter the parking area, the initial focus is on elevating the look, the feel, and the overall sense of arrival so that it reflects the quality and pride of our community.
There is an abundance of visible wear that will be addressed immediately. Browned and overgrown shrubbery will be refreshed. Dead tree branches will be removed. Broken curbing, uneven pavement, and parking lot divots will be remedied. The current layout also presents genuine wayfinding challenges, including confusing traffic flow and no-outlet passages that can create frustration upon arrival. Those issues are being studied and corrected to create a smoother, clearer, and more welcoming entry sequence. First impressions matter. Establishing a clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed entrance sets the tone for everything that follows.
On another note, many of you have asked both me and General Manager Frances Rippcondi about the future of the golf staff and maintenance team you have come to know and appreciate over the years. As I have mentioned before, Century Golf has expressed sincere enthusiasm about engaging both groups as part of the transition. As with any new operator, there are Human Resources policies and onboarding procedures that must be followed, so the process will take a bit of time.
You should continue to see familiar faces on site as this transition unfolds, and that continuity is important.
It is an exciting time to be in The Meadows. We are seeing real progress, thoughtful investment, and renewed energy taking shape. Let’s choose
to nurture that progress by leading with goodwill, patience where
it is needed, and showing care not only for our shared spaces but for
one another. Communities grow stronger when they move forward together with respect, optimism, and a shared commitment to something larger.
The momentum is real. Change is visible…this is just the beginning.
Chris Perone,
MCA Board President
