Here’s what to do when your AC stops working:
▪️ If there is no air blowing from your vents check the outdoor unit and see if there is any ice build up on the copper pipe.
🔹 If so turn off your AC and turn the Fan to ON. This will help thaw out the system.
▪️Check if your thermostat has power.
🔹 If it does not you may need to change the batteries.
▪️ Are you filters dirty ?
🔹Change them. Dirty filters restrict air flow and can cause your system to freeze up!
▪️ Is there water in the pan under the system in the attic?
🔹 You may have a clogged drain line.
▪️ Check your breaker!
🔹 If your breaker trips, turn your thermostat off and flip your breaker off and on to make sure it resets properly.
