Thanks Kenneth Hale Jr Realtor for swinging by the fire station and dropping off some cookies! The men are sure enjoying them!

Had the pleasure to pass out cookies to one of my home inspectors fire station today.

My daughter and two other girls in her troop sold over 30 Cookies4Heros each to qualify the troop to donate additional cookies.

Thank you to all first responders that risk their lives on a daily basis to help keep our communities safe.

Corroded Galvanized piping with a active water leak! Can cause a lot of damage if not corrected!

Squirrels are notorious for chewing on lead vent pipe covers on roofs. Once they do so it allows water to pe*****te through the roof decking and into the attic. Over time it can cause different issues through out the affected area.

All windows that are less than 24 inches off the floor and greater than 72 inches from finished surface (most likely second floor or higher) shall have fall protection on the window. This prevents the window from opening up more than 4 inches without disengaging the fall protection device. This keeps the little kiddos safe from falling out of the window!

Last freeze a bunch of pipes burst inside of residential homes. When talking to some of the residents, they weren't sure how to shut the water off to the house which caused more damage.

There are 2-3 general places for a water shut off valve on residential homes.

1. Is located on the outside of the home, usually around the front of the house either on the left or right side.

2. Is located inside the garage on the left or right side.

3. Is sometimes located in a closet ( uncommon but I have seen it)

If this happens to you just find the shut off valve and shut it off. Its either a 90 degree valve or you have to turn it until its completely off.

Freezing temperatures are coming! Make sure all pipes are properly insulated and winterize your sprinklers!

If you don't know how, there are plenty of videos online to fix the problem!

Torn and raised shingles on a new build, with out getting on a roof the buyer would have never seen the deficiency on the roof. Long term this could cost the buyer a lot of $$$$ because of roof damage caused by water leaks!
