If you are waiting for interest rates to go down to buy a home it may be the wrong strategy. Median existing home prices in January 2024 rose 5.1% in the past 12 months & interest rates of 6.90% were unchanged from the past 12-month 6.87% average

Existing home sales on a monthly basis (not annualized or seasonally adjusted) rose 1.3% year-over-year in January 2024, the 1st increase since November 2021. If you’re waiting for the housing market to bottom, it just did & is already heading up.
