My awesome clients saw 10+ resale listings over the past few weeks. Last Friday, they decided to purchase a new construction home and got an amazing deal...
If you're renting in/around Houston and are ready to buy a home, new construction is a great option right now. It's an easy path to homeownership; financial stability; and future prosperity for yourself and your family. That's especially true if your budget is under $250,000, but it applies to every price point. Builder incentives being offered at the moment are very good!
Affordability and a lack of quality inventory are real challenges in the Houston area. It isn't just high interest rates negatively affecting would-be homeowners; it's also higher insurance costs, property taxes, deferred maintenance by sellers in the resale market, and supply/demand pressure. All of those things combined are making it almost impossible for many first-time buyers to succeed in this market.
