Want the truth about interest rates?

All over the socials there are posts about the Fed (finally) lowering interest rates. Realtors are celebrating. Lenders are sorta celebrating, but also warning, rightly, that rates might temporarily increase.

Here's the truth: none of it might make any difference.

Why?

Because, like with all things in real estate, the financial piece of the puzzle is highly individualized. Your "rate" might be very different than the person next to you. Our in-house lenders were closing 15 year notes in the 4's this week and conventional rates in the mid-5's. That's awesome, but your situation might dictate something completely different. Maybe paying a rate down makes sense for you. Maybe taking a lender credit to get rid of some debt makes sense.

Who knows?

You and your lender. That is who should know. So, ignore the headlines. Ignore the news. A national average interest rate should mean nothing to you. Reach out to your trusted real estate professional (preferably one at CB&A, Realtors) and let them connect you with a lender that can help paint a picture of what makes sense for you. That's what is important.
