June 1 = hurricane season starts in Texas.

Two things every Houston homeowner should do THIS WEEK:

1. Check your flood insurance. It has a 30-DAY waiting period. If you wait until a storm forms, you're not covered.

2. Photograph every room. Open every drawer, every closet. Documentation for insurance claims if a storm hits.

We learned both of these the hard way after Harvey.
