Originally from North Vietnam, Thuy Shipman moved to the Houston area in 1982 and has watched the area grow and emerge as one of the most thriving regions in the country. In fact, Thuy and her husband have lived in the same Cypress neighborhood that she grew up in! Prior to real estate, Thuy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance. After graduating, she worked as an accountant in the oil and gas field for years, as well as a loan originator and cash accountant for a mortgage company and later, a cash accountant for a property management company. Her experience as a loan originator and cash accountant give her a unique insight about the closing process that is unmatched by many. In addition to her full time jobs, Thuy also leased out her own investment properties. Resulting from the knowledge and tools that she acquired, combined with her interest in real estate, Thuy decided to earn her real estate license in order to help others achieve the American dream of homeownership.
