Texas REALTOR® Priyanka Johri's passion is caring for the dogs no one else wants—the ones that are elderly, sick, abused or terminally ill. Most of her dogs will spend the rest of their lives at the wooded sanctuary she created for them, but some are adopted into loving homes after they heal. Even some special needs dogs find forever homes, like the deaf dog that was recently adopted by a family with a deaf daughter. The sanctuary is set up like a home, with couches, a pool and a sun deck and no cages or kennels. Priyanka recalls, when she used to volunteer at a shelter, "I always had a problem when someone said, 'this dog is too old, this dog is too sick; this is too much money to save this dog.’ I knew I had to do something myself.” Watch a video here: https://abc13.com/community-events/woodlands-woman-finds-her-calling-caring-for-sick-dogs-/5160490/?fbclid=IwAR0QA1aBVp4qg4qLR-RpX6xfoIpui1aIkHkai0fgCs2pQQ0VkHx1cq2nlwQ
