Greetings from the East
Hello again my Brethren, It seems our Governor has extended the COVID restrictions as far as wearing masks, so I’ve decided to require masks at our meetings. This may offend some, but it will help some of our elder members to feel better about coming to Lodge. As far as I recall, masks are required in all PUBLIC indoor places where social distancing is not feasible. In my interpretation, Lodge is neither open to the public nor have we had enough brethren to make social distancing unmanageable. My requirement for masks is simply a way to alleviate the pressure of our more vulnerable brethren, so they can join us. If while in the three elected chairs, there is a proper social distance, then, in order to be heard, that officer can unmask while doing ritual or to speak to the Master (or Lodge). It seems the right thing to do.
Remember, we have an upcoming EA degree at our first Stated Communication in August, Aug 4. There will be little to no business, in order to accomplish the degree work without delay. I plan on opening the Lodge at 7pm and go right to the degree. Our initiate/candidate would like to bring some above average pizza beforehand and share a meal with his prospective brethren. See the trestle board for more details about scheduled dinner time.
Jerry is still hosting the Saturday breakfast club on the Saturday after our first stated meeting of each month (Aug 8) at 8:00am , Goodies, 3010 W 72nd Ave, Westminster, just west of Federal. And don’t forget Friday night dinner club, EVERY Friday at 5pm at Wishbone, 9701 Federal. Each dining location has the same requirements of wearing mask to enter, but once at your table, masks may be removed. Also, if enough people show up, we may have to split between a couple tables. Hasn’t been an issue as of yet, but one can be hopeful, can’t one.
And finally, I hope everyone is weathering the separation and the world wide attack on the American way of life. Masonry should be above all the political hoopla, and although I have my OBVIOUS right leanings, I want every brother to know, I have the deepest love for you as a Mason and respect your right to have whatever beliefs you may garner.
Respectfully and Fraternally Yours, Tim Lambert, Master of Northglenn 194

Greetings from the East… It’s so good to get back into the regimen of regular Lodge. July 7 was a special night. Without planning, we were honored with the presence of 5 Past Masters who held down the fort so to speak. I was proud to host an ALL Past Masters night but missed several young faces in the Lodge room. I hope to see more members in Lodge in the next few meetings as we prepare for our newest prospective EA to be initiated on August 4 at 7pm. ALL are invited as well as EAs and up from other Lodges. As we move into the final months of the year, we start looking forward to next year and new leadership. Remember if you don’t want the old master’s to recycle through the chairs, we must have growth in new members. There must be men of quality that each of you know, who might be interested if you were to speak to them kindly of the fraternity. We can’t recruit, but we sure as hell can talk about the fraternity and maybe excite our friends into asking. August 18th will be a special voting night. If you want a say in how the Lodge is run, you must be present to vote your wishes. Two amendments are before the Lodge. First, an increase in dues to keep up with the cost of doing business. Second, formalizing darkness to be regularly scheduled for July and August, in order to align with most other Masonic bodies. If you are unable to make it please call one of your elected officers and let them know if you feel strongly one way of the other. It won’t count as a vote, but your argument might sway those on the fence. I had hoped to continue my personal quest of visiting as many Lodges as possible this year, but the COVID and the riots have pretty much changed everyone’s plans for 2020. If things change later in the year (maybe Nov 3, just a guess) I may attempt to visit at least one Lodge as the current Worshipful Master. Anyone is welcome to join me. Once again, it is good to get back to Lodge. COVID may still be keeping older, more vulnerable, members away, but I hope to see more of you in Lodge as we near Autumn, and the upcoming elections and installation of new officers.

In a fifth edict the Grand Master of Colorado is following the guidance set forth by the governor. Therefore, we are able to resume regular communications with our brethren and resume stated meetings. We are to meet with physical distancing in place and if you wish to wear a mask it would be encouraged.

That being said, there is still a great amount of unrest in the country with nightly riots in Denver. Plus, there is still the possibility that our most vulnerable brothers could get COVID-19. We trust that you will make good decisions for your health and take precautions when traveling to lodge. Denver has imposed a curfew, for example, and we would hate to see anybody caught in the riot if it extends to the interstates. We will undouble look forward to meeting in person, and understand if that is not possible at this time. Until then, we will look forward to seeing you in lodge, and beginning tomorrow night you have the option of attending our stated communication.

Please, my brothers, if you have any questions call me and ask.

Brethen, family, and friends.
I am pleased to announced we are having our normal stated communcation on June 2nd. At this time we are not meeting for dinner before Lodge for friends and potential prospects. I will be at the Lodge at 6:00pm with my chess board if anyone wants to stop by and chat and hangout a little before Lodge.
Officers are meeting on Monday for our processes post Covid-19 rules and ideas. So more information to follow.
See you all soon and feel free to message me at any time.

Greetings from Northglenn Lodge #194. Do to the spread of the COVID-19 virus we have decided as a Lodge to protect our brethren from the passing of any infectious diseases that may be out there at this time. Also, numerous brethren are in emergency services who are exposed to this contagion as well as being required to work extra hours. With the cancellation of schools and public events this is also taxing on those of us with small children.
We wish everyone a healthy and safe next few weeks and please do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything.
Fraternally,
Michael Schleis S.W.

Brethren, it is with respect for you all and the Craft in general that I write to you. I am pleased with the start of the Masonic year here in Northglenn. I’ve just returned from the Annual grand Lodge session in Colorado Springs and come renewed and invigorated for the upcoming year. Grand Master Dave Coberly appears to have brotherly love in the forefront of his plan for the year. Our own Dean McConnell was appointed Grand Senior Steward, a double step up since MWB Stewart backed out of line. A near disaster was averted, when WB Dean was taken from his room to the ER, where he underwent emergency surgery for an issue he has been dealing with for some time now. I’ll let him explain details if he wishes, but he is healing and assured me he will be back in the saddle after some well earned rest and recuperation.

I hope all the brothers in attendance at Lodge during January are pleased with the direction I am leading the Lodge. For those not able to be there, I have instituted several changes. Firstly, the meetings will be separating business (1st meeting) and Education (2nd meeting). We also not be reading the minutes, but posting them in the foyer and asking for a very brief response from the Secretary instead. If you have a desire to review them, please make time to arrive early and do so. Music will be a part of our ritual (during the arranging of the altar) as well as house lights brightening and dimming with the tapers, accordingly. I hope to make a more reverent atmosphere for the ritual. Nothing too fancy. I don’t want anyone to be uncomfortable, but I think we need to step up our game just a tad.

Please feel free to approach me with any ideas that you might like to incorporate or delete from what we are doing.

February 18th, we will be receiving MW Scott Ammerman for education. He will give a hour of “Alchemy”. Scott is a Chemistry teacher at West Hight School and has a unique background to give us some background and information regarding this subject. It should be interesting in the least. Although I have been advised we will not end the night with having changed metal into gold. How disappointing.
