Perks of putting 20% Downpayment on a Home

Here are four reasons why putting 20% down may be a great option if it works with in the budget.
1) Your interest rate may be lower
By going with higher down payment around 20% & above shows the lender that your are finiancially stable and not a larger credit risk, the more confident your lender is with your credit score and payments the less interest rate you can grab most likely
2)You will end up paying less
Increasing the down amount upto 20% will ultimately makes you to pay for only rest 80% compared to 5% down with 95% mortgagae amount
3)You won't have to pay PMI(Private Mortagage Insurance)
And the most important is that you have to pay for PMI apart from normal interest & principal amount if the down is less than 20% to protect lender's investment during default payments of high risk loans(i.e low down payment loans).
4)Offer to Stand Out in a Competitive Market
