What would you do with a quarter acre? 🌾🐓

When people hear “homesteading,” I think it’s easy to picture acres and acres of land.

But give me a quarter acre and I’m still finding room for raised garden beds, my favorite blue berry bushes, a couple fruit trees, chickens, compost, herbs, all while still having space for the kids AND somewhere to sit outside and enjoy it all!

You don’t necessarily need more land. Sometimes you just need to look at the land you have a little differently.

I put together exactly how I’d set up a little homestead on a .25-acre lot, because Room to Roam starts right where you are. 🤎

More acreage doesn’t always mean more usable space. ✨

When I’m looking at rural property with buyers, the number of acres is only the beginning. We also need to consider the terrain, drainage, water source, septic placement, year-round access, floodplain concerns and whether the land can actually support their future plans.

Because the goal isn’t simply to find more land.. it’s to find land that fits the life you’re trying to build. 🤍
