We went under contract the first weekend we went live, all ready to close after 30 days, and then we ran into some hiccups. And then some more. And maybe a few more...

Sometimes things don't go as planned, and it's imperative that as your real estate agent, I'm able to jump in and roll with the punches. This was definitely a team effort on all parties to get this to the closing table, but WE DID IT. My client was ecstatic when she got that equity check at closing - a smile I will have a hard time forgetting.

Thank you to my client and her family for being so patient and willing to accommodate when needed, as well as the city of Toledo for their efforts in assisting and Midland Title for staying on top of everything!

I’ve been MIA lately. On social media and in real life.

Life’s been busy.
Life’s been hard.

I’m just getting over a bad cold.
Work’s been hectic and busy.
My friend passed away last week.

Life doesn’t stop, though. You want to take a breath and step back, but life doesn’t slow down. You still have clients calling and texting you nonstop, you have to respond to the email that Title sent you 2 days ago, you have to make sure your child returns their library book, you need to pack the school lunch, don’t forget to call and check on your grandparents, be sure you’re still volunteering at church, and you know, everything else life has for you.

My “pause” in life was social media. Trying to stay off of it for a while, so I can try and heal and grieve.

Grief is a weird thing. It comes and goes, but the pain stays forever.

I miss my friend.

But I’m here. I’m still working, still being a wife, still being a mom to my children. I’m still here. Still present. Grateful for each day of chaos that God gives me🤍

Today was a busy day of networking🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

I had the honor and privilege of standing watch for 22 minutes at Silent Watch hosted by Hancock County Veterans Service Office, Allen-Kramp Management, and local lender and combat veteran himself, Andy Sterling with Rate.

Every 22 minutes, a veteran takes their life. The heartache, trauma, stress, financial burdens, physical and mental health issues that they faced while serving our country (and long afterwards) made them want to escape it all. They felt this was their only option, their only way out. As a US citizen, we need to be there for our veterans. We need to show them our support, in any way that we can. They sacrifice SO much to serve our country, as well as their families. No veteran should feel they aren’t worthy of life.

Thank you to all who put this day of remembrance on for the city of Findlay🇺🇸

After I stood watch, I was able to go downtown and grab a delicious lunch at Nara Ramen and head over to a meeting with another local lender, Mike Runion Mortgage Group NMLS # 1380326 with LeaderOne Financial.

Oh, and was able to spend the whole day with my girl Mallory Van Denk ☺️

Ahhh huge congratulations to this amazing family on the sale of their home!🏠🎉 We did a “coming soon” status for 1 week, went live on a Friday, multiple offers received by Saturday, and then ended up canceling the open house on Sunday because we had an accepted offer OVER ASKING🔥

Couldn’t have asked for better results for a more deserving family! I was with a newer agent today and we were going over cold calling. I said something to her that I think others in this field need to hear:

We are in the helping field. Not just sales.

It’s not about numbers. It’s not about a commission check. It’s not about being a top producer.

It’s about helping your clients with their next chapter.

Whether they’re selling a home that they’ve lived in for 50 years, or buying their first home at $100,000. Your job is to HELP them navigate their next steps.

If you’re scrolling through your call list and scoff at someone who inquired about that $82,000 property because “it’s not worth your time”, then you’re missing out.

You’re missing out on an eager investor who hopes that they can make this property safer and nicer for the next tenants.

You’re missing out on a first time home buyer who worked their butts off to get where they’re at.

You’re missing out on an older adult looking to downsize.

You’re missing out on being a tool, a resource, a mentor for them- someone they can trust even years from now.
