According to Realtor.com’s 2026 Best Time to Buy report, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟳 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯 is projected to be one of the best times of the year nationally for home buyers — and that same week was identified for the Hartford-area market as well.

Why can fall be a good opportunity?

🍂 More homes may be available to choose from
🍂 Buyer competition can begin to ease
🍂 Some sellers may be more open to negotiating
🍂 Buyers can sometimes have a little more breathing room than during the busier spring and summer markets

Of course, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹. What’s happening nationally doesn’t always tell the whole story here in Connecticut.

I had the chance to volunteer again recently at Midwest Food Bank New England in Manchester, CT. 🙌🥫❤️

I’ve been fortunate to volunteer there several times over the years, and it’s always a really rewarding experience. They do a tremendous amount of good in our area, serving more than 160 nonprofit agencies each month.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, I definitely recommend checking them out. It’s a great organization, a great group of people, and a great way to give back to the community.
