💜 This one is personal. 💜

Last year, I helped the Perry family relocate from California to New Jersey. What should have been an exciting new chapter quickly turned into a nightmare.

Nearly a year later, they are still without ALL of their belongings and continue to search for answers and resolution. Unfortunately, their story is not unique. Moving scams happen to everyday people during one of the most stressful and vulnerable times in their lives.

That’s why I created this post—to help raise awareness and educate others on the warning signs of moving fraud. While there are steps you can take to protect yourself, the Perry family’s experience has shown me just how devastating these situations can be.

I encourage you to scan the QR codes and watch the Perry family’s story. Learn the red flags, know what questions to ask, and understand the precautions you can take before hiring a moving company.

After hearing their experience—including a missing tractor trailer and belongings that seemingly vanished—it’s hard not to feel that packing and moving yourself may sometimes be the safest option.
