A while back, I shared that I’m running for Niagara Falls School Board to fight for better outcomes for our kids. Now, the race just got more competitive—the field has doubled, including two incumbents and two candidates backed by the teacher’s union. It’s clear the status quo doesn’t want change, but our students and community deserve better.
My priorities aren’t controversial—they’re common sense:
✅ Accountability – We have the largest budget in the county, yet our district has ranked dead last for six straight years. We can keep funding strong while spending wisely—it starts with leadership that asks tough questions.
✅ Transparency – Right now, our community isn’t getting the full picture. Here’s what we’re up against: 9 of 11 schools are on the state watchlist.
Just 22% third graders read at grade level. That means 78% are falling behind
By middle school, 37% of eighth graders meets reading standards
✅ Impact – I’ve already brought proven reformers (Like Kareem Weaver!) to the table, and I’ll push for a plan that works—one that includes parents, teachers, administrators, and community leaders. Progress starts when we all admit there’s a problem and work together to fix it.
Here’s where you come in:
Name recognition is the biggest hurdle for a first-time candidate. I’ve launched a GoFundMe to help cover campaign basics—flyers, signs, town halls (yes, even pizza to get folks in the door!🍕). If you believe our kids deserve better, any support—$5 or sharing this post—gets us closer to real change.
This isn’t about me; it’s about giving our students the future they’ve been denied for too long. Let’s build that momentum together.
