Being born and raised in San Pedro, I’ve watched a lot of places change over the decades. Some for the better, some simply different.

But Palisades has managed to hold onto much of the character and charm that made it special in the first place. There may not be hang gliders soaring off the bluffs and over Paseo del Mar like there once were, but the beauty of this stretch of coastline remains timeless.

In this video, I’m taking you on a quick tour of one of San Pedro’s most scenic and beloved neighborhoods. From dramatic ocean views and coastal trails to quiet streets and a rich sense of community, Palisades continues to be a place that reminds us why so many people love calling San Pedro home.

A proud dad moment today. ❤️🎶

Last day of school and the debut performance of The Black Cobras.

After only 7 band practices together, they got up in front of students, teachers, and parents and played two songs like pros.

Desmond on keys.
Julian on drums.
Their next-door neighbor Emme on vocals.

They were all nervous. You could see the butterflies. But they did what courage looks like…they stepped up anyway.

That’s the lesson I’ll remember most. Not that they played perfectly, but that they faced something scary, trusted their preparation, and absolutely crushed it.

So proud of these kids and the confidence they’re building one brave step at a time. 🐍🎸🥁🎤

Four countries in two weeks… and my three young kids were incredible little adventurers every step of the way.

This journey became so much more than just a vacation. We connected with my sister Katy in three different cities, dispersed my stepdad’s ashes into the Maas River in Rotterdam, shared meaningful time with friends in Falkenberg, and reunited with my brother Benny and his family in Stockholm. Every stop carried its own piece of the tapestry.

Travel has a way of stretching time. Some days felt long, but now that we’re home, I already find myself missing the constant togetherness — waking up in new places, navigating trains, sharing victuals, laughter, deep conversations, and those quiet little moments in between.

And my wife continues to be the kind of travel partner you hope for in life — steady, adventurous, patient, and all heart through the beautiful labyrinth that family travel can sometimes become.

Grateful for the memories, the connections, and the captivating mosaic of experiences we shared across Europe together as a family. These are the kinds of chapters that stay with you forever.
